Dr Bruno BroughtonDr Bruno Broughton is a fisheries scientist by profession and for a decade worked as a fish biologist and fisheries officer with the Severn-Trent Water Authority. Since 1988 Bruno has run his own fisheries management consultancy business, providing advice to approximately 1,400 clients throughout the UK – and several in mainland Europe– on a huge range of topics.

Bruno is a Fellow of the Institute of Fisheries Management and the author of a range of scientific papers and books. He is a regular contributor to the angling press and, when he gets time, is a keen ‘big fish’ coarse angler.

His work has also encompassed duties for the Angling Trades Association (ATA). Currently Chief Executive of the ATA, Chairman of the Angling Foundation and co-chair of the Professional Anglers’ Association, Bruno has been directly involved with campaigns to help protect and promote the sport of angling for almost 20 years. He is a Director of the Fisheries and Angling Conservation Trust (FACT), the national 'umbrella' organisation and a member of various consultation groups and working parties.

Since 1998 Bruno Broughton has lectured part-time to fisheries students at Rodbaston College, near Stafford.
